Bond Auto Parts, Inc. turns 50 years old!

Barre, VT – Bond Auto Parts, Inc. (the “Company”) and its Board of Directors today announced reaching its 50th year anniversary.  Bond Auto Parts, Inc. was founded in March of 1956 by Earl and Mary Bond of Barre, Vermont.  Prior to 1956, Mr. Bond sold auto parts out of the backseat of his car and realized that he needed more space.  “The business started, because at the time, my father needed more space.  It has come a long way since then and we’re proud to carry on the name and remain a Vermont based business.” stated by George Bond, Chief Executive Officer.
            Bond Auto Parts currently has 24 stores in Vermont, 9 stores in New Hampshire and is scheduled to open a store in Greenfield, Massachusetts on May 1st.  The Company, which is still family owned and operated with headquarters located in Barre, Vermont currently employs in the neighborhood of 370 Team Members both Full Time and Part Time.  Bond Auto Parts is the largest Vermont based automotive aftermarket supplier serving equally the do-it-yourself and professional installer markets.  Bond Auto Parts is ranked the 25th largest Automotive Parts Distributor in the United States by “Aftermarket Business Magazine” which publishes its Top 100 Report yearly.  “We continually are looking to expand between 2 and 4 stores per year so that we can realize our goal of 50 locations.” stated by Mark Mast, Vice President of Marketing.  Bond Auto Parts belongs to the Automotive Aftermarket Alliance, which is one of the largest buying and marketing groups in North America. 
            Each one of the store locations will be having open houses with barbeques and giveaways over the summer to celebrate with their customers.  There is also a plan for a large celebration at this year’s 50th Anniversary Bond Auto Parts 4-wheel Jamboree Nationals which will be the first weekend in August.
